Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

This is my first time participating in the PTI Blog Hop and I couldn't be more excited about it! This month's challenge was to use our favorite Papertrey Ink color scheme, this was an easy decision for me and I knew exactly what I wanted to use when I read the challenge. The color scheme I selected is: Kraft, Enchanted Evening, Hawaiian Shores, and Fresh Snow. These colors are my absolute favorite and I think they look absolutely perfect together!

Every inch of this card is PTI and I am really happy with how it turned out. I'd love to hear what you think!

Supplies all PTI:
Cardstock: Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, Enchanted Evening
Stamps: Fillable Frames #4, Enjoy The Ride, A Little Argyle, Round & Round
Ink: Enchanted Evening, Fresh Snow
Other: Linen & Canvas Impression Plate, Fillable Frames #4 die, Enjoy The Ride die, Enchanted Evening Copic Trio, T1 Copic marker, Rustic Cream twine

I'm still around!

Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted and I'm sorry about that! I really have been creating I just haven't been updating (shame on me!) and there is one card I can't share yet because I'm participating in a Spring/Easter swap on the PTI forum and I have to make sure Ted gets it first before I share.

I also decided to open an Etsy store after talking to my mother-in-law since she is convinced people would actually buy what I create. I don't have high hopes and my prices are low, I don't expect to make a fortune off of selling what I make but it'd be nice to have some extra money to go towards my month PTI purchases. If you'd like to check it out you can click here.

Here's one of the cards I made today, it is available in my Etsy shop as most of the things I make will be.

Patterned Paper: Guidelines
Stamps: Year of the Flowers: Violets, Big & Bold Wishes, Background Basics: Tin Types

Two for you today

I have two cards to share today, the first one is a baby boy card and the second one is the valentine for my husband this year. I'm really happy with how they both turned out and would love to hear what you think. I finally was able to get my hands on blending stumps and odorless mineral spirits yesterday so I could actually use my Prismacolor pencils that I bought months ago. These two cards are my first attempts at using them so keep in mind I am definitely still learning how to use them.

Friendship

I'm really trying to get myself to make time so that I can start building up my stash of cards so I settled down last night after putting my son to bed and started to work on a card when I realized what I really wanted to work on was a card for my best friend. She's been my best friend for over 20 years and is currently serving in the Navy so she's been out of state the last few years and we rarely get to see each other. I wanted to make sure she knew that even though she's all the way across the country I still think about her all the time so this card is for her.

Don't mind the shadow at the bottom of the inside. The sentiment is computer generated everything else is Papertrey Ink unless otherwise stated.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon, White (from my stash)
Patterned Paper: Joann's
Stamps: Mega Mixed Messages

First post & color challenge entry

I think it's only fitting that my first blog post be my entry into Dawn McVey's color challenge considering I have stalked her blog for the past year and love her style. I've never participated in any challenges before and I've never uploaded my cards before either but it's a new year and I want to start doing things I haven't done before. I do want to say though, that I've only been card making for about 6 months so I am definitely still learning but I would love your feedback whether it's good or bad. Thanks so much for stopping by!
