You're my lobster

I've been trying to figure out what to do for my husband's Valentine's Day card for a couple of weeks now and it finally clicked in my head tonight. My husband and I are huge fans of FRIENDS and one of my favorite episodes is "The One With The Prom Video", in the episode Phoebe tells Ross that Rachel is his lobster. It's such a cute episode so I decided to create a card with that sentiment :). This card was created on my Explore and features a QR code that links to a video of Phoebe explaining the lobster sentiment. I hope he loves it! I'm entering this card in the Hiding In My Craft Room Any Holiday challenge.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White (PTI), Recollections black and red
Other: Cricut Explore, Tin Types impression plate (PTI), printer

Monsterously fun centerpiece!

OK so I completely suck at this blogging thing. I've been creating, I've been creating a lot actually, but I fail so hard when it comes to actually blogging about the projects I've completed. I'll try really really hard to be better.

Back in December I decided to start selling some custom Starbucks logo mugs after I gave one to my co-worker as a gift. I got a bunch of people on Facebook saying they'd love to buy one so I figured why not open up a little side business and sell some cups for a reasonable price. I figured maybe in 6 months time I'd earn enough money to buy the Cricut Explore. I posted my facebook sales page on a several local groups I'm a member of and got a bunch of orders! I had enough money to buy the Cricut Explore in a week's time! So, I bought it, and now I'm hoping to earn enough money to afford Disneyland passes for the 4 of us (luckily the baby is free for the next couple of years).

Anyways, since getting the Explore a couple of weeks ago I've been able to do all kinds of cool things that I wasn't able to do before on my Cricut Expression and I am having such a good time playing with my new toy! Here's the project I finished yesterday and I absolutely love how it turned out.

This is a 3 tier centerpiece that I created for my baby's first birthday. We've done his nursery in a monster theme, I bought him a bunch of monster items (snack cups, bibs, etc), so it was only fitting for his first birthday to be monster themed as well. His birthday isn't until May 21 and we aren't even sure we're doing a party but I figure this little guy will be a wonderful photo prop for his 1 year pictures! I'll be making his birthday banners and such over the next few days. I like to be really early, I also like to have things made as examples for orders of things that I can actually get some use out of. Anyway, thanks for stopping by, sorry I suck at this!

So it's been two years...

Wow, I can't believe it's been over 2 years since I've posted on here. I hate that I go through such long breaks between crafting. Before last week, the last thing I had made was the wedding card for two of my friends that got married in November 2012! I am so glad to be back to doing what I enjoy and I hope to be able to blog more projects over the next few days as I've actually made a decent amount of stuff lately. I've discovered that I really enjoy making no-sew blankets and a bunch of people will be receiving them as Christmas gifts this year. I reopened my Etsy shop and have a couple of items listed on there for sale and will be adding more to it over the next several weeks. Anyway, let's get on to why I'm actually posting today. My dear friend Wendy's birthday is today and I wanted to make her a card to celebrate the day, I entered my card in the JUGS challenge and am excited to be entering challenges again.

Thanks for stopping by!

To Infinity...and beyond!

Hey there,

thanks for taking the time to stop by! I have another card for your viewing pleasure today. I've had this vision in my head for this card all week and finally got a chance to sit down and create it. I absolutely love all of the Boy Basics sets that PTI came out with awhile ago. My son absolutely loves Toy Story so I thought it would be great to make a card with this fabulous sentiment. He was very eager to color his own rocket ships while I made my card - great bonding time! I'd love to hear what you think :)

I wanted to provide a detail photo of the glittery stars, the impressed background, and the clouds are even flocked!

The sentiment was embossed with silver embossing powder.

And just to show that the slider part works fabulously!

Another Mother's Day card

I decided that I didn't like the original card I made for my Mother-In-Law and decided to make her a different one. I like how this one came out a lot better and hope she feels the same way. I've been in the mood to color lately so took the opportunity to pull out my Copic markers and get to work. I'd love to hear what you guys think :)

The images from Flutterby Friend are colored with Copic Markers and the polka dots on the Blueberry Sky background are embossed with clear embossing powder.
